hey Nice! i have been searching for a DIY recipe for earthen pots with a glaze finish. What type of products did you use to get the shades of orange finish on the second pot? also to give it the sheen?
Thanks. The pots are the one we get in India, baked & finished products.I used some ceramic powder & made a slurry by mixing it with synthetic glue & water.applied a thin coat of the slurry on the pot & dried.Made the surface smooth using sand paper .Painted with acrylic paints(water soluble). And please do not forget to let us admire your work .
Hi,there seems to be some confusion.pots are sold here generally for storing water.they are not painted.i got the pot, applied primer(slurry),dried, sandpapered to make smooth, painted with water soluble acrylic paints.repeated coating brings out the sheen.otherwise can apply varnish as a last coat.
Excellent work! Keep it up.

Great. thanks so much for your reply.
DeleteSo you got them from India already painted. The only adjustment you made is to apply the motif?
